Does your child have questions about what's happening on the news with black men and local police officers? Are they afraid? Do you find yourself asking how do I talk to my son about this subject?
In light of the current tragic events going on in our world, Brooklyn Landmark & Brooklyn Environmental would like to invite our 3rd-8th grade boys to a discussion and workshop on making informed choices. They will have a chance to meet local officers, engage in fun workshops with young professional African American Men and talk about recent events. This forum will address many of their thoughts, questions in a child appropriate way. It is critical for our boys to know their lives matter and so do the lives of other black men and boys. The end product will the support of the #blacklivesmatter campaign by creating school posters and displaying outside of our school building so the entire community knows that their lives matter!
Pizza and other refreshments will be provided.
Lets come together and remind our boys just how much their lives really matter!
